The Met Gala 2013: The Looks, the Couples and Beauty

Last night the biggest red carpet fashion event took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York.
The Costume Institute Gala is where the Hollywood and fashionindustry elite come together to celebrate an exhibition.
This year they celebrated their new exhibition PUNK: from Chaos to Couture.
And so the night has as dress-code Punk, to suite with the exhibition.
All though, not all the invitees dressed themselves to the dress-code, they still all looked ´Hawt´!!
But they all had their Punk game one with their little details, leather gloves, spikes, hairpieces and their nails!
I noticed there were lots of leather and cut-out dresses.
The variation of the looks was big, it went from chic to edgy, to remarkable.

The Looks
Cara Delevingne wore a black longsleeved Burberry Prorsum dress with spikes.
The accessories made her look extra 'punk-y'. Amazing, since Burberry is one of the most conservative labels of all time!

Sienna Miller wore also Burberry last night, I love how she and Cara were balancing between clean chic and punk-y hardcore attitude.

Host of the night, Hilary Rhoda wore a sheer sequine high-low top with leather trousers from Wes Gordon.

The gorgeous Doutzen Kroes stunned in a custom-made dress by Olivier Theyskens!
I adore this look, definitely in my top 3.

Jessica Biel wore an amazing Giambattista Valli  dress, I love it!
And she has a nose ring Punk-is right!

Gisele Bundchen showing how punk she is in a black short Anthony Vacarello dress.
I love the chain detailing!
Thunder from down under: Australian stunner Miranda refused to be outdone by her fellow supermodelsModel mayhem: Gisele (L) and Jessica Hart wisely decided to show off their amazing figures. Gisele was racy in Anthony Vacarello while Jessica sizzled in Diane von Furstenburg
Ausies Jessica Hart and Miranda Kerr both looked wonderful in black cut-out dresses with leather accents by Dianne von Furstenburg and Michael Kors!

Donatella Versace wore a dress from her by punk-rock inspired Versace FW '13/14 collection. She looked stunning! The look fitted the theme perfectly.

Carey Mulligan's look didn't fit well in the Punk theme, however, she still looked chic and sleek in a divine dress by Balenciaga

Chloe Green, Jourdan Dunn and Ashley Madekwe wore custom-made dresses by Topshop.

  1. Doutzen is the real standout for me. Exceptionally dressed and great makeup. Everything comes together. Just so beautiful.

  2. Love all the studs, I think Cara Delevigne did a wonderful job with her dress and Emanuelle Alt as well! I love the hairdo's of Nicole and Anna!
